4. CALCULATE RESULT COMPARISON
Compare
the
measuremen
t to
the
result
of the follow -
ing calculation.
With
the
throttle
fully
open
:
M
ea
sured input
voltage
X 0.824= Vo
The
sensor
is
normal
if
the
measurement
output
volt-
age measured in step 2 is
with
in 10%
of
Vo.
With
the
throttle
fully
closed:
Measured
inpu
t
voltage
X 0.1 =Vc
The
sensor
is
normal
if
the
throttle
closed
output
volt
-
age measured in step 3 is
within
10% of Ve.
Using
an
analog
meter, check
that
the
needle
of
the
voltmeter
sw
ings
slowly
when
the
th
rottle
is
opened
gradually.
CONTINUITY INSPECTION
Open and s
upport
the f
ront
end
of
fuel
tank
(page 3-4).
Disconnect the ECM 22P (
light
grayl
connector
and
the TP sensor 3P connector.
Check
for
cont
inuity
be
tw
een the
wire
harness and TP
sensor.
If th ere is no continuity, check for an
ope
n or
short
cir-
cuit
in the wire harness.
BANK ANGLE SENSOR
INSPECTION
Support
the
motorcycle
on a level surface.
Remove
the
rear
cowl
(page 2-3).
Turn
the
ignition
switch
ON
and
measu
re the
voltage
between
the
following
terminals
of
the
bank
angle
sensor
connector
with
the
connector
connected.
2P CONN ECTOR
,
22P (LIGHT GRAY) CONNECTOR
Do not disconnect
the bank angle
sensor connector
during inspection.
