MAINTENANCE
Remove
the
tim
ing
hole cap and
O-ring
.
Turn the crankshaft c
lockw
ise,
align
the "T"
mark
on
the ig
nit
ion
pulse generato r
rotor
w ith the index
mark
on the right crankcase cover.
The
tim
ing
marks (" I
N"
and "EX" ) on the cam
spro
ck-
ets
must
be flush w
ith
the cylinder head surface and
facing o
utwa
rd as
sho
wn
.
If the
timing
marks on the cam sprocket faci ng
inwa
rd, turn the cranks
haft
clockwise one
full
turn
(360') and realign the timi ng ma rks
with
the
cylinder
head surface so
they
are fac
ing
outward
.
Record the ctesr-
ance for each
valve for refer-
ence
in shim
selection
if adjust-
ment
is required

Insert the feeler
gauge
between
the valve l
ifter
and
the cam lobe.
Check the valve clearance
for
the No.1 and NO.3 cylin-
der intake
valves
using
a feeler gauge.
VALVE CLEARANCE:
IN: 0.16
~
0.03
mm
{0.006 e 0.001 inl
NO.3 INTAKE VALVES
