TACHOMETER
SYSTEM INSPECTION
Remove the headl
ight
unit
(page 19-5).
Disconnect the
comb
ination meter gp (Black)
connector.
Check for loose or poor contact terminals of the com-
bination meter.
With the ignition switch ON, measure the voltage at
the combination meter 9P (black) connnector.

Connect the combination meter 9P (Black) connecter.
Connect the peak voltage adaptor to the tachometer
Yellow/green (+) terminal and ground.
Start the engine and measure the tachometer input
peak voltage.
PEAK VOLTAGE : 10.5 V
min

If the value is normal, replace the combination
meter
assembly.
If the measured value is below 10.5 V, replace the
ECM.
