l, measure the peak
vo
ltage
at
the
igniti on
pulse
genera
tor
connector
.
Remove
the
right
side
cover (page 2-2).
Disc

nect

and connect the tester
pro
bes
to
the
t
erm
inal
(Yellow and White/yellow) .
In the same
man
ner as at the ECM connec
to
r, mea -
sure the peak vol
tage
and compare it to the vo ltage
m
easur
ed at th e ECM connector.
If th e peak
volt
age
measured
at
the
ECM is
abnor
-
mal
and
the
one
measured
at
the
ign
it
ion
pulse
gene
rato
r is normal, the wire
harness
has an
ope
n
circuit
or
loose
con
nectio
n.
If th e peak vo ltage is
lower
than standard value,
follow
the checks described in th e
tr
oubleshoo
tin
g
chart (
page
17-3).
Install th e removed parts in
the
reverse
or
der
of
removal.
