Usethefollowingstrategytopreventunnecessaryexpenseforreplacingand
servicingFRUs:
• IfyouareinstructedtoreplaceanFRU,butthereplacementdoesnotsolve
theproblem,reinstalltheoriginalFRUbeforeyoucontinue.
• Somecomputershavebothaprocessorboardandasystemboard.Ifyouare
instructedtoreplaceeitherofthem,andreplacingoneofthemdoesnotsolve
theproblem,reinstallthatboard,andthenreplacetheotherone.
• IfanadapteroradeviceconsistsofmorethanoneFRU,anyoftheFRUsmay
bethecauseoftheerror.Beforereplacingtheadapterordevice,removethe
FRUsonebyonetoseeifthesymptomschange.ReplaceonlytheFRUthat
changedthesymptoms.
Attention:Thesetupconfigurationonthecomputeryouareservicingmayhave
beencustomized.RunningAutomaticConfigurationmayalterthesettings.Note
thecurrentconfigurationsettings(usingtheViewConfigurationoption);then,
whenservicehasbeencompleted,verifythatthosesettingsremainineffect.

hasacurrentbackupofthedatabeforeperformingthisaction.

havebeenchanged.Beextremelycarefulduringwriteoperationssuchas
copying,saving,orformatting.Ifyouselectanincorrectdrive,dataorprograms
canbeoverwritten.
