39.4 ONT Ethernet Port Settings
Use the remote ontenet commands to create and configure a subscriber Ethernet interface on the
ONT’s card. This applies to a 10_100BASET or 10_100_1000BASET card type. You can enable
performance monitoring, set the port speed, and enable or disable the port. Here is the format of
the command with the help displayed.

LABEL DESCRIPTION
AID The interface Access ID.
Status Shows whether the card is OOS (Out of Service) or IS (In Service).
AdminState Shows whether the card is locked or unlocked. You cannot change the ONT card
settings when it the admin state is locked.
ExpType Shows the configured type of ONT card.
ActType Shows the detected type of ONT card. This is “Unknown” if the OLT does not detect
a card.
ExpPort The number of subscriber ports on the ONT card expected to send traffic.
ActPort The number of subscriber ports on the ONT card that have actually sent traffic.

Creates the specified subscriber Ethernet interface setting and enters the sub-
commands for configuring it. This Ethernet interface setting creates a physical
path termination point Ethernet UNI ME as defined in G984.4 and sets the default
value 0 (Auto) for rate and duplex mode auto detection, 2000 for the maximum
frame size attribute.
ontenet-aid: ontenet-<slot>-<port>-<ont>-tcard>-<cardport>

Turns off the subscriber Ethernet interface.
pmenable
Enables PM (performance monitoring) to get counters on this Ethernet port by
getting IP host performance monitoring history data ME as defined in G.984.4.
