CLI Introduction

4.1 Accessing the CLI

Use any of the following methods to access the CLI.

4.1.1 Console Port

1 Connect your computer to the console port on the OLT using the appropriate cable (see Section

1.3.3 on page 20 for console cable details).

2 Use terminal emulation software with the following settings:

3 Press [ENTER] to go to the login prompt.

4.1.2 Local Telnet

1 Connect your computer to the MGMT port.

2 Open a Telnet session to the OLT’s out-of-band MGMT port IP address.

Make sure your computer IP address is in the same subnet, unless you are accessing the OLT

through one or more routers.
