FUEL SYSTEM The center lines of the carburetor bores mus parallel both horizontally and vertically If they not loosen the mounting screws and align the buretors on a flat surface Retighten the mou screws After assembling the choke mechanism check to that the choke lever slides right to left smo without abnormal friction CAUTÍONJ Fuel mixture trouble could result if the starter not seat properly in its rest position after the c knob it returned A O rings B Fitting C Fitting Visually synchronize the throttle butterfly valves Check to see that all throttle valves open and smoothly without binding when turning the pulley Visually check the clearance between the throttle and the carburetor bore in each carburetor Install the fittings and spring as shown A Balance Adjusting Screw B Clearance A Fitting Pipe C Fittings B Spring D Carburetor Body Install the throttle connecting plates and spring as shown f there is a difference between any two carbu turn the balance adjusting screw s to obtain the clearance Carburetor Disassembly and Assembly Notes CAUTION During carburetor disassembly be careful not to damage the diaphragm Never use a sharp edge to remove the diaphragm A Plate B Plate C Spring To install the needle jet turn the carburetor upside down and drop the needle jet into place s the smaller diameter end of the jet goes in first
