- WINTER MODE. This setup is suitable for the winter season and is
characterized with high maximum temperatures for heang the water
in the appliance. This mode secures maximum quanty of water with
comfortable temperature.
- ANTIBACTERIAL MODE. It is recommended that once per month
the appliance should be placed in this mode for a period of 1 day with
the aim to ensure higher hygiene of the used hot water.
Fig. 2a indicates the direcon of rotaon of the knob for the other
models with externally adjustable thermostat.
IMPORTANT: Models that do not have thermostat control
knobs have automac water temperature preset by the manu-
facturer (g. 2d).
- ANODE TESTER - (with models, having an integrated tester).
This facility serves for the idencaon of the current state of magnesi-
um anode and indicates the need for its replacement. The anode tester
is secured with buon 4 and light indicaon 5 next to it (Fig. 2a, 2b).
The state of the anode protector can be controlled by pressing buon
4. When the illuminang indicator, besides it is lit in a blinking GREEN
color, this means that the ANODE PROTECTOR funcons in a normal,
usual mode and protects your appliance from corrosion. When the il-
luminang indicator is lit with a blinking RED color, this means that the
ANODE PROTECTOR is worn out and should be replaced.
IMPORTANT: The changing of the anode protector is done by a
qualied technician.
3. Protecon according to the temperature (valid for all models).
The appliance is equipped with a special facility (thermal circuit-break-
er) for protecon against over-heang of the water, which is switch-
ing o the heater from the electricity network, when the temperature
reaches too high values. The facility has to be restored compulsory af-
ter repairing the reason for its starng up.
In case of acvang of this automac protecon it is necessary to turn
to an authorized service for the reparaon of the problem.
VII. Models equipped with a heat exchanger (serpenne tube)
- Fig. 1d and Table 2.
These water heaters allow energy savings during the years heang
season. This is achieved by the built in heat exchanger (boiler tube).
With its assistance, the water heaters may heat water without consum-
ing electricity, by using local or central water heang. Maximum tem-
perature of the heat carrier: 80°C.
The water heaters equipped with a heat exchanger oer three possibili-
es for water heang:
1. Via an electric heang element
2. Via a heat exchanger /boiler tube/
3. Combined heang - via boiler tube and electric heang element
Mounng:
In addion to the mounng manner outlined above, especially for the
laer models, it shall be required to connect the heat exchanger to the
heang installaon. The connecons are to be carried out in observ-
ance of the direcon indicated by the arrows on Fig. 1d.
We recommend you mount stopcocks at the heat exchanger’s entry
and exit points. By stopping the ow of the thermophore via the lower
(stopcock) you shall avoid the unnecessary circulaon of the thermo-
phore during periods of use only of the electric heang element.
Upon disassembly of you water heater equipped with a heat exchanger
you must close both stopcocks.
VIII. Important rules
- The water heater must only be mounted in premises with normal re
resistance.
- Do not switch on the water heater unless you established it was lled
with water.
- Qualied P&P specialists and Electricians must only perform the con-
necng of the water heater to the water and electric mains.
- Upon connecng the water heater to the electric mains care must be
taken to connect the safety lead.
- If the probability exists for the premise’s temperature to fall below
0°C, the water heater must be drained (observe the procedure outlined
in secon IV, subsecon 2 ‘’Water heater’s piping connecon”)
- During use (water heang mode), the dripping of water from the
safety return-valve’s drainage opening is normal. The same must be
le open to the atmosphere.
- In order to secure the water heaters safe operaon, the safety return-
valve must undergo regular cleaning and inspecons for normal func-
oning /the valve must not be obstructed/, and for the regions with
highly calcareous water it must be cleaned from the accumulated lime
scale. This service is not provided under warranty maintenance.
All alteraons and modicaons to the water heater’s construcon and
electrical circuitry are forbidden. If such alteraons or modicaons
are established during inspecon, the appliance’s warranty shall be null
and void. Alteraons and modicaons shall mean each instances of
removal of elements incorporated by the manufacturer, building in of
addional components into the water heater, replacement of elements
by similar elements unapproved by the manufacturer.
- These instrucons shall also apply to water heaters equipped with a
heat exchanger.
- If the power supply cord (of models that have one) is damaged, it
must be replaced by a service representave or a person with similar
qualicaon, to avoid any risk.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children)
with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilies, or lack of experi-
ence and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or in-
strucon concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for
their safety.
- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with
the appliance.
IX. Periodic maintenance
Under normal use of the heater, under the inuence of high tempera-
ture, lime scale /the so-called lime scale layer/ is deposited upon the
heang element’s surface. This worsens the heat exchange between
the heang element and water. The heang element’s surface temper-
ature increases along /of boiling water/. The thermoregulator begins
to switch on and o more frequently. A ‘’decepve” acvaon of the
thermal protecon is possible. Due to these facts, the manufacturer
recommends prevenve maintenance of your water heater every two
years by an authorized service center or service base. This protecve
maintenance must include cleaning and inspecon of the anode pro-
tector (for water heaters with glass-ceramic coang), which shall be
replace with a new one if need arises. Each prevenve maintenance
of the said type must be entered in the appliance’s warranty card and
must outline date of performing the prevenve maintenance, company
performing the prevenve maintenance, name of person performing
the prevenve maintenance, and signature.
Non-fullment of the above requirement may terminate the free of
charge maintenance of your boiler.
THE MANUFACTURER DOES NOT BARE THE RESPONSIBILITY FOR ALL
CONSEQUENCES CAUSED BY NOT OBEYING THE INSTRUCTIONS, GIVEN
HEREBY.
Instrucons for protecng the environment
Old electric appliances contain precious materials and
thus should not be thrown together with the household
lier. We kindly ask you make your acve contribuon
for protecng the resources and the environment by
handing over the appliance in the authorized buy-back
staons (if such exist).
