Chapter 3. Front Panel Configuration

Serial Port Setting

To configure the VM5404HA / VM5808HA’s baud rate for its serial port

connection, do the following:

1. From the Menu page, select Serial Port Setting.

2. Select Baud Rate Setting from the Serial Port Setting submenu by

pressing 1:

3. Press pushbuttons 1–4 to make your selection.

Baud Rate options are:

 1: 9600

 2: 19200

 3: 38400

 4: 115200

Note: The default baud rate is 19200.

4. Press Menu to return to the Menu page.Press Cancel to return to the

previous level of menu.

The vm5404ha vm5808ha has a built in configuration utility via the front panel lcd which can be controlled by pressing the menu and front panel input pushbuttons 1 8 or 1 4 user can cycle through the menu options starting from ip setting page in the order shown in the table below 26
