Translation of the original instructions The tracked carrier is designed to require very little maintenance However in order to keep it at top performance please carry out the following operations check that all the nuts and bolts are always firmly tightened oil the throttle clutch and brake cables never use mineral oil on rubber parts as it will damage them always check the oil levels and clean the air filter often check the crawler track tension NOTE Change oil when the machine is hot to carry out a total drainage of the old oil Never remove the oil level caps with the machine running as circulating oil may spill out ENGINE Follow the instructions on lubrication intervals in the relative manual In general users are advised to check the oil level every 4 working hours and to change it every 50 hours fig 9 Always use 15W40 both in summer and winter for both petrol and diesel engines Always refer to the engine instruction manual AIR FILTER Check the oil level every 8 hours and even more often in very dusty environments To change oil the oil use the same engine oil always refer to the engine oil For dry air filters check the cartridge for clogging every 8 hours and replace if necessary GEARBOX OIL Check the level about every 50 working hours and top up if necessary with AGIP F 1 ROTRA MP 85W 90 gearbox oil Change the oil once a year quantity 1 35 kg To drain the old oil from the gearbox remove the screw fig 8 TRACK ROLLERS Periodically grease the track roller pins especially if the machine is working on sandy terrain fig 8A HELPFUL HINTS FOR PROPER USE 1 Never leave the machine out in the rain 2 Never force the gearbox if the gear does not engage give a succession of little touches on the clutch 3 Never strain the engine if smoke comes out of the exhaust the engine is toiling and must be slowed down 4 Never work at full throttle 5 If the machine overheats on the first day stop it for a few minutes it needs a rest 6 Remove any leaves or grass which accumulate on the grid around the engine pull start 7 Keep the safety device clean and well oiled The truck capacity is 500 kg but users are advised to consider the terrain on which the vehicle is to be used when deciding the load which can be transported Remember that since this is a tracked carrier vehicle it pitches considerahiv nn humps curbs and steps When crossing such obstacles use low gears and take special c 11 ngage a low gear and retain it until back on level ground If the machine is stopped on steep slopes release lever no 1 fig 1 thus blocking the truck automatically fig 7 pos D Although the truck has rubber tracks remember to take care in difficult environmental conditions ice heavy rain or snow or on terrains which might make the vehicle unstable
