Translation of the original instructions INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE Before starting the engine always carry out the following controls check oil level into the gearbox fig 4 check the engine oil by unscrewing the oil level tap Always refer to the engine instructions booklet check that the air filter oil bath version is clean and that the oil is at the right level fig 5A check that the air filter dry version is clean fig 5 Caution Never blow the cartridge with compressed air If clogged it must always be replaced see engine instructions booklet fill the tank with fuel using a funnel with very fine filter to keep impurities away check that all levers are in neutral position check the tension of the crawler tracks fig 6 if they are not taut enough correct the adjustment by backing off the lock nut and tighten the crawler stretcher bolt check that the steering levers are operating correctly and that the load bed is secure 6 fig 1 STARTING THE ENGINE Bring the handle throttle lever no 4 fig 1 to the midway position Open the fuel tap and engage the choke petrol engines Operate the extra fuel lever and press the decompressor lever on the head of the engine until it remains down when necessary as indicated in the engine manual diesel engines Start the engine by pulling the pull start knob sharply fig 1 no 11 After the engine has started disengage the choke petrol engines and gradually return the throttle close to the idling position Allow the engine to warm up for a few minutes before starting work To allow a proper running in do not force the machine excessively during the first 50 hours STARTING THE MACHINE Engage the gear required using the lever no 2 fig 1 If the gear does not engage immediately give light touches on the clutch no 1 fig 1 Accelerate the engine using the throttle lever no 4 fig 1 and pull the clutch lever fig 7 pos C The machine will start When the lever is released the machine will stop fig 7 pos D FINISHING WORK Return the throttle lever no 4 fig 1 to the idling position To stop the engine push the engine cut off switch petrol engine with recoil starter fig 20 petrol engine with electric starter fig 21 diesel engine fig 22 MAINTENANCE AND LUBRICATION CAUTION Disconnect the plug before performing any cleaning maintenance or repair operation Always wear suitable clothing and working gloves When the machine or part of it is lifted to carry out maintenance operations always remember to use suitable fixing tools such as holders and safety locks When carrying out maintenance operations and or when the machine is tilted without safety locks or supports never leave it unguarded in places where inexperienced people and children could have easy access to it Protect the environment carefully dispose of used oils petrol and any other pollutant product Effective maintenance and correct lubrication help to keep the machine fully efficient 10
