wishes to use a remote SSH server for authentication purposes.
Choosing this parameter requires the user to input the following
information to identify the SSH user.
hostname <string> - Enter an alphanumeric
string of up to 31 characters identifying the
remote SSH user.
hostname_IP <string> <ipaddr> - Enter the
hostname and the corresponding IP
address of the SSH user.
Password – This parameter should be chosen if the user
wishes to use an administrator defined password for
authentication. Upon entry of this command, the switch will
prompt the user for a password, and then to retype the
password for confirmation.
Publickey – This parameter should be chosen if the user
wishes to use the publickey on a SSH server for authentication.
None – Choose this parameter if no authentication is
desired.
Restrictions Only administrator-level users can issue this command.
Example usage:
To configure the SSH user:
DGS-3312SR:4# config ssh user Trinity authmode Password
Command: config ssh user Trinity authmode Password
Success.
DGS-3312SR:4#
show ssh user authmode
Purpose Used to display the SSH user setting.
Syntax
show ssh user authmode
Description This command allows you to display the current SSH user setting.
Parameters None.
Restrictions Only adminstrator-level users can issue this command.
