create iproute default

Purpose Used to create IP route entries to the switch’s IP routing table.

Syntax

create iproute default <ipaddr> {<metric>}

Description This command is used to create a default static IP route entry to the

switch’s IP routing table.

Parameters

<ipaddr> − The gateway IP address for the next hop router.

<metric> − Allows the entry of a routing protocol metric entry

representing the number of routers between the Switch and the IP

address above. The default setting is 1.

Restrictions Only administrator-level users can issue this command.

Example Usage:

To add the default static address 10.48.74.121, with a metric setting of 1, to the routing table:

DGS-3312SR:4#create iproute default 10.48.74.121 1

Command: create iproute default 10.48.74.121 1

Success.

delete iproute

Purpose Used to delete an IP route entry from the switch’s IP routing table.

Syntax

delete iproute <network_address> <ipaddr> [primary | backup]

Description This command will delete an existing entry from the switch’s IP

routing table.

Parameters

<network_address> − IP address and netmask of the IP interface

that is the destination of the route. You can specify the address and

mask information using the traditional format (for example,

10.1.2.3/255.0.0.0 or in CIDR format, 10.1.2.3/8).

<ipaddr> − The gateway IP address for the next hop router.
