- Never cause a short-circuit between the contacts of the
rechargeable batteries and do not connect them to metal
objects.
- When transporting batteries, make sure that the contacts
are not connected to each other and do not use metal
containers to transport them.
- Short-circuiting the battery can cause an explosion. In any
case, the short circuit damages the rechargeable battery.
- Regularly check that the battery charger cable is not
damaged. If the cable is damaged, replace the battery
charger.
- Fully recharge the batteries before storing them for the
winter.
- The battery can be recharged only with battery charger
complying with EN 60335-2-29/A11.
4. ASSEMBLY
FIXING HANDLE (Fig. 3-4-5)
- Lift the handle as in Fig. 3. Tighten the knobs (A, Fig. 5) after
positioning the handle (B) at the correct height. Choose one
of the two positions (C, Fig. 4).
HANDLE HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT (Fig. 5)
Unscrew knobs (A) and lift or lower the handle (B).
GRASS CATCHER
Fix the support bar (N, Fig.6).
IMPORTANT! – The rail must be the right way up. One
side (X, Fig.7) is bigger, and this must face away from the
grass catcher. The smaller side (Y) should face toward
the grass catcher. The handlebar rail must be pushed
fully home and locked (Fig.8). NB: the locking action is
accompanied by an audible click.
Now assemble the mesh part (D, Fig.9) of the catcher with the
rigid top (E) by securing the relative catches (F). Begin at the
rear, and finish with the two sides.
Fig. 10 – Assembly plate on the plastic top handle.
POSITIONING OF GRASS CATCHER (Fig. 11)
- Lift rear deflector (G).
- Attach the two hooks (H) onto the deflector support shaft (I).
- Lower rear deflector and make sure it covers
completely the upper part of the grass catcher.
Installing the battery
• Open the battery compartment cover (8, Fig.2).
• Push the battery into its seat until it locks into place (Fig.12).
WARNING! Use only original battery packs. The use of
other batteries may result in injuries, explosion and a
fire risk.
Removing the battery
• Open the battery compartment cover (8, Fig.2).
• Press the two buttons (B, Fig.12) to slide the battery out (A).
WARNING! Also read the battery and battery charger

freely, without forcing, and that upon release they return
quickly and automatically to their neutral position;
- check that the operating lever stays locked, if the safety
button is not pressed;
- check that the cooling vents are not clogged;
- check that the handles and machine guards are clean and
dry, correctly assembled and firmly secured to the
machine;
- check that the cutting devices and guards are not
damaged;
- check that the machine has no signs of wear or damage
due to impact or other causes, and make the necessary
repairs;
- check that the battery is in good conditions and that there
are no signs of damage. Do not use the machine with a
damaged or worn battery;
- charge the battery following the instructions given in the
chapter “Charging the battery”.
CHECKING THE STATUS OF THE BATTERY (Fig.13)

activates 4 LEDs (C) which mean the following:
4 LED lights on = Duration = 4/4
3 LED lights on = Duration = 3/4
2 LED lights on = Duration >= 2/4
1 LED light on = Duration =< 1/4
1 Flashing LED light = battery is flat
4 Flashing LED lights = overheating
CHARGING THE BATTERY (fig.14)
CAUTION:
Make sure that the mains voltage of the power outlet
corresponds to that indicated on the battery charger label.
To remove the battery (A, Fig.12) from the machine, press the
