Timing Settings
There are four kinds of timing mode. They are GPS timing, LTC timing, NTP timing and
Local timing (Ethernet connection to web browser computer).
Only one timing mode can take effect at a time. See the details of each mode below:
GPS timing means that the analog clock and digital timer are controlled by a GPS timer
via the RS232 interface. To achieve this function, baud rate and parity should be set.
Check the box “GPS,” the GPS timing function is enabled, otherwise, not.
LTC timing means timing is based on LTC code via mini-XLR interface. LTC in both
SMPTE and EBU code are supported according to IEC standard. Pin 1 is GND, and pin
2 & 3 receive LTC data (see the picture below). Check the box “LTC,” the LTC timing
function is enabled, otherwise, not.
For an Unbalanced LTC timing feed, pin 1 and 3 should be connected together to the
ground path of the unbalanced LTC feed.
