EC1000 User Manual

SNMP & Telnet Settings

Click to select Enable, Read Only or Disable SNMP settings and fill in the

details of the following sections.

SNMPv3 Account Information

 Enter values for Name, Auth-Password and Priv-Password for SNMPv3

authentication, if required.

SNMPv1/v2c Community

 Enter values Read community and Write community for SNMPv1/V2c

authentication, if required.

Telnet

 Check/uncheck to enable/disable Telnet Server.

 Use the Name and Password fields to change the account used to login via

Telnet sessions.

Click Save to save your settings.

As a security measure if a firewall is being used the administrator can specify the port numbers that the firewall will allow if a port other than the default is used users must specify the port number as part of the ip address when they login if an invalid port number or no port number is specified the ec1000 will not be found 45
If there is no firewall on an intranet for example it doesn t matter 45
