Aten EC1000 [59/81] Syslog server

Chapter 4. Browser Operation

Syslog Server

To record all the events that take place on EC1000 devices and write them to

the Syslog server, do the following:

1. Check Enable Syslog Server.

2. Key in the Server IP and the Service Port of the Syslog server. The valid

port range is 1-65535. The default port number is 514.

As a security measure if a firewall is being used the administrator can specify the port numbers that the firewall will allow if a port other than the default is used users must specify the port number as part of the ip address when they login if an invalid port number or no port number is specified the ec1000 will not be found 45
If there is no firewall on an intranet for example it doesn t matter 45
