BASIC OPERATION
N Call channel programming
The Call channel is used to select Channel 9 (default); how-
ever, you can program the Call channel with your most often-
used channels in each channel group for quick recall.
q
While holding down [H/L], push ;#(78s$5!,s5)#= sev-
eral times to select the desired channel group (U.S.A., Inter-
national or Canada) to be programmed.
w Hold down ;s= for 1 second to select the Call channel
of the selected channel group.
shCALL” and Call channel number appear.
e Hold down ;s= again for
3 seconds (until a long beep
changes to 2 short beeps)
to enter the Call channel
programming mode.

N Channel comments
Each channel can be labeled with a unique alphanumeric ID
of up to 10 characters.
Capital letters, small letters, 0 to 9, some symbols (- . /)
and space can be used.
q Select the desired channel.
