SNMP Read/Write Settings
SNMP Versions
Setting Description Factory Default

Specifies the SNMP protocol version used to manage the
switch.

Setting Description Factory Default
Max. 30 characters Specifies the community string to authenticate the SNMP agent
for read-only access. The SNMP agent will access all objects
with read-only permissions using this community string.

V1, V2c Write/Read Community
Setting Description Factory Default
Max. 30 characters Specifies the community string to authenticate the SNMP agent
for read/write access. The SNMP server will access all objects
with read/write permissions using this community string.
Private
For SNMP V3, two levels of privilege are available for accessing the Moxa switch. Admin privilege provides
access and authorization to read and write the MIB file. User privilege only allows reading the MIB file.
