REMOVAL
1. Remove:
• Exhaust pipe assembly
2. Loosen:
• Rear axle nut
NOTE:
When the axle nut is loosened, apply rear
brake.
3. Remove:
• Rear wheel
4. Remove:
• Rear brake cable
• Brake shoes
• Flat washer
INSPECTION
1. Inspect:
• Wheel
See “INSPECTION OF REAR WHEEL”
section
2. Measure:
• Wheel run-out
See “INSPECTION OF REAR WHEEL”
section
3. Check:
• Wheel bearings Consult the “INSPEC-
TION OF REAR WHEEL” section
4. Inspect:
• Brake shoes Crystallisation
Polish
with sand paper.
NOTE:
After using sand paper, clean the polished
particles with a cloth.
Rim run-out limits:
Vertical: 1.0 mm
Lateral: 1.0 mm
