FDS-366T
As you increase the stimulus level, the microphone amplifier in the FDS-366T
will automatically adjust it’s gain to try to obtain a good level. You may
therefore not see the input C bargraph value changing once it gets close to full-
scale.
If the input level is reasonable and the outputs are not limiting or clipping then
start the automated measurement phase by pressing the ENTER button.
Warning: As the automated part of the measurement process
continues, similar SPL(Sound Pressure Levels) stimulus signal
levels to those set above will be output intermittently. Care must
be taken to ensure that nobody will be subjected to potentially
hearing-impairing SPLs.
After measuring each band, the impulse response of the band will be shown
graphically on the screen. This may be useful for checking that the Alignment
Assistant has captured a sensible measurement rather than noise, etc.
Press ENTER to continue with the next band.
If this warning is encountered this is because the delay parameters on the
output channels that the Alignment Assistant is trying to measure are either
'OEM' or 'Owner' locked. To prevent this, escape from the Alignment
Assistant by pressing the RECALL button, go to the appropriate lock in the
Utilities and deactivate the locks that have been set on the delay parameters on
the output channels. Now restart the Alignment Assistant procedure which
should now work without this warning appearing.
The not enough level warning may also be encountered at this stage as each
band may need tuning separately.
