6.2 The Copier is not functioning as designed
If these procedures do not correct the problem, turn OFF the Power
Switch, unplug the power cord from the power outlet and contact your
Technical Representative.
The copy has lines. The Corona Units are dirty. Using the Corona Unit Cleaning
Levers, clean the Corona Units,
seepage7-8.
Symptom Check for Action
The Control Panel
shows nothing.
Is only the Start Keylitup green? The copier is in the Energy
Saver Mode. Press any key on
the Control Panel to cancel the
Energy Saver Mode,
seepage2-17.
The copier is in the Auto Shut
OFF Mode, see page 2-16.
Turn the Power Switch ON.
No copies are fed out
when the Start Key is
pressed.
The Wait Indicator is lit up. The copier was just turned ON
and is warming up. Please wait.
The Warning Indicator is lit up. Check the Control Panel and
take action according to the
particular Indicator,
seepage5-1.
Control Panel Keys
do not respond.
The Interrupt Key LED is lit up. The copier is in the interrupt
mode. Press the Interrupt Key to
cancel the interrupt mode,

The copier is not
activated when the
Power Switch is
