DSC OPERATION
D Receiving a Test Acknowledgement Call
When a Test Acknowledgement Call is received:
The alarm sounds for 2 minutes. ➥
“Received ACK” is displayed. The LCD backlight blinks for ➥
2 minutes.
Received Call log ■
The transceiver automatically stores up to 50 distress mes-
sages and 50 other messages, and they can be used as a
supplement to your logbook.
•Whileinthenormaloperatingmode,the“ ” icon blinks in the up-
per right corner of the LCD when there is an unread DSC message.
Distress message D
Push the softkey [LOG] to enter “RCVD CALL LOG” in the q
DSC CALLS menu, or you can enter it through the Menu
screen.

(Push [MENU]) (Select icon)
(Rotate dial, then push [ENT].)
Push [ w Y]/[Z] to select “Distress,” then push [ENT].
•TheDistressmessagesarestoredin“Distress.”
•The“ ” icon appears when there are unread DSC messages.
•The“ ” icon appears when there are no unread DSC mes-
sages.
•NoiconappearswhentherearenoDSCmessages.
q Push [ALARM OFF] to stop
the alarm and the blinking
backlight.
•Evenifyoudonotpush[ALARM
OFF], the alarm stops after 2
minutes, and then the screen in
step w is displayed.
w Push a softkey to select your
desired action.
[EXIT]
➥ Push to return to the nor-
mal operating mode.
•The transceiver exits the
DSC mode.
•“ ” continues to blink and
the Call is stored in the Re-
ceived Call Log.
