1.4 Malfunction of Transmission between MAIN remote control
and SUB remote control (

)
Error code U8
Error generation The error is generated when, in case of controlling with two remote controls, the microprocessor
detects that the transmission between the indoor unit and the remote controls (MAIN and SUB) is not
normal over a certain amount of time.
Causes The possible causes are:
Q Transmission error between MAIN remote control and SUB remote control
Q Connection among SUB remote controls
Q Malfunctioning remote control PCB.
Troubleshooting
Caution Be sure to turn off power switch before connect or disconnect connector, or parts damage may be
occurred.
Turn the SS-1 switch of one
remote controller to MAIN.
Turn OFF the power supply,
and restart operation.
Turn OFF the power once and
restart operation.
Replace remote controller PCB
if any error is generated.
Turn the SS-1switch of one
remote controller to MAIN.
Turn OFF the power supply,
and restart operation.
