ThevoiceVLANfeatureenablescontrollerportstocarryvoicetracwithdenedsettingssothatvoiceanddata

tracareseparatedwhencomingontotheport.AvoiceVLANensuresthatthesoundqualityofanIPphoneis

safeguardedfromdeteriorationwhendatatracontheportishigh.

TheinherentisolationprovidedbyVLANsensuresthatinter‐VLANtracisundermanagementcontrolandthat

network‐attached clientscannotinitiateadirectattackonvoice components.AQoSprotocolbasedonthe
