27) Disassembly of Gear Case

1. Remove taper roller bearing (outer race) 1.

2. Remove spring guide 3.

3. Remove needle bearing 4.

Needle Bearing Attachment 2 5 :

P/N. 3AD-99710-0

Driver Rod 2 6 :

P/N. 3AD-99702-0

Attach puller claw in the direction as shown.

Slide Hammer Kit 2 :

P/N. 3AC-99080-0

Bevel Gear Bearing Puller Ass'y :

P/N. 3A3-72755-0

26) Assembly of Drive Shaft

Attach pinion nut (B gear nut) 1 to drive shaft 2 temporarily.

Use a press to attach new drive shaft bearing to drive shaft 2.

Bearing Installation Tool 3 :

P/N. 3AC-99900-0

• Do not press drive shaft thread

directly.

• Do not reuse bearing. Be sure to replace

with new one.

CAUTION

Do not reuse removed bearing.

CAUTION

Before removing, check bearing for play or

deflection. Replace if necessary.
