4) Removing Drive Shaft Housing
1. Place draining container below drain hole, and remove drain
bolt to drain gear oil. "Refer to Chapter 3."
2. Remove bolt 1 and remove mount cover 2.
4. Turn down lock plate tab 8, remove upper mount nut 5,
and then, remove drive shaft housing ass'y 7.

3. Remove lower mount nuts 3 and bolts 4.
When remove or installing drive shaft housing
with power unit installed on the outboard motor,
perform the work with outboard motor hung to
lighten load applied to upper mount bolt.
