4. Inspection Items

1) Inspection of Throttle Cable

1. Check operation of throttle cable.

2. Check throttle cable inner wire and outer wire for bend and

damage. Replace if necessary.

2) Installation of Tiller Handle

1. Attach cables to throttle shaft 1 as shown.

2. Install throttle shaft 1 with cable to tiller handle. Be careful of

location of throttle friction 2.

4. Attach tiller handle ass'y to steering bracket 4, and tighten

nut 5 to specified torque.

Tiller Handle Nut 5 :

6 N·m ( 4 lb·ft ) [ 0.6 kgf·m ]

3. Install bushing 3 on the steering bracket 4.

Arrange throttle cable as shown.
