PREPARATION FOR OPERATION
REMOVING AND INSERTING THE BATTERY
Press the battery lock button (23) and slide out the battery (24) (g. A).
Insert charged battery (24) into the battery installation socket (14) in the
main handle (13), you should hear when the battery lock button (23) snaps.
BATTERY CHARGING
The device is supplied with partially charged battery. Charge the battery when
ambient temperature is within range 4°C–40°C. New battery, or one that has
not been used for a long time, will reach full eciency after approximately 3
to 5 charge/discharge cycles.
Remove the battery (24) from the device (g. A).
Connect the charger to mains socket (230 V AC).
Slide the battery (24) into the charger (25) (g. B). Make sure the battery is
properly tted (pushed to the end).
When the charger is connected to a mains socket (230 V AC), the green diode
(26) on the charger turns on to indicate connected supply.
When the battery (24) is placed in the charger (25), the red diode (26) on the
charger turns on to indicate that the charging is in progress.
At the same time green diodes (28) of the battery level indication are ashing
in dierent congurations, see description below.
All diodes are ashing – the battery is empty and requires charging.
2 diodes are ashing – the battery is partially discharged.
1 diode is ashing – the battery level is high.
Once the battery has been charged, the diode (26) on the charger lights
green, and all battery level diodes (28) light continuously. After some time
(approx. 15 s) the battery level indication diodes (28) turn o.
Do not charge the battery for more than 8 hours. Exceeding this
time limit may cause damage to battery cells. The charger will not turn
o automatically when the battery is full. Green diode on the charger
will remain on. Battery level indication diodes turn o after some time.
Disconnect power supply before removing the battery from the charger
socket. Avoid consecutive short chargings. Do not charge the battery
after short use of the tool. Signicant decrease of the period between
chargings indicates the battery is worn out up and should be replaced.
Batteries heat up when charging. Do not operate just after charging –
wait for the battery to cool down to room temperature. It will prevent
battery damage.
BATTERY LEVEL INDICATION
The battery is equipped with battery level indicator (3 LED diodes) (28). To
check battery level status, press the button for battery level indication (27)
(g. C). When all diodes are on, the battery level is high. When 2 diodes are on,
the battery is partially discharged. When only one diode is lit, the battery is
discharged and must be recharged.
CUTTING DEPTH ADJUSTMENT
Right angle cutting depth can be set from the range of 0 to 52 mm.
Loosen the cutting depth locking lever (15).
Set desired cutting depth (use the scale).
Lock the cutting depth locking lever (15) (g. D).
INSTALLATION OF THE EDGE GUIDE
Edge guide can be installed on left or right side of the device base.
Loosen the edge guide locking screw (20).
Slide the edge guide bar into holes in the base (16), use the scale to set required
distance and x by tightening the edge guide locking screws (20) (g. E).
Edge guide bar should be pointed downwards.
The edge guide (21) can also be used for bevel cutting at angles ranging from
0° to 45°.
Never put hand or ngers behind the working saw. When kick back happens
the saw can fall on the hand, it may be the cause of heavy body injury.
MOVING THE LOWER GUARD
The lower guard (11) of the cutting blade (8) is pushed away automatically as the
blade sinks into the material. To shift it manually, push the lower guard lever (5).
DUST EXTRACTION
The circular saw is equipped with the dust extraction outlet (1) that allows for
extraction of sawdust produced when cutting.
OPERATION / SETTINGS
SWITCHING ON / OFF
Hold the saw with both hands when starting up, because the motor torque
may cause uncontrolled rotation of the power tool.
Remember that rotating parts of the saw rotate for some time after the tool
has been switched o.
The device is equipped with the switch, which protects from accidental
starting. The safety switch is located on both sides of the tool body.
Switching on
Press one of the switch lock buttons (3) and hold (g. F).
Press the switch button (4) (g. G).
You can release the switch lock button (3) after starting the device.
Switching o
Release pressure on the switch button (4) to stop the tool.
LASER OPERATION
Never look directly at the source of the laser beam or its reection from
reective surface, never aim the laser beam at any person.
Each time the switch lock button (3) is pressed, the laser (7) turns on.
Laser beam allows for better control over the cut line.
The saw is equipped with the laser generator (7), which is used for precise
cutting.
Press the switch lock button (3).
Laser starts to project red line, which is visible on the material.
Make the cut along the line.
Dust arising from cutting may suppress laser light, therefore it is necessary to
clean the generator lens occasionally.
LASER ADJUSTMENT
Laser has been adjusted by the manufacturer. It may require adjustment only
when the projected beam diverts from the cutting line.
Press the switch lock button (3).
Projected red line should be parallel to dened cutting line. If the line is
not in parallel position, use the screwdriver to turn the laser lens (a) left or
right, until the projected red line is parallel to dened cutting line (g. H).
When the projected red line is still out of parallel position, use the
screwdriver to rotate the screw (b) left or right until the projected red line is
in parallel position (cross-wise adjustment).
CUTTING
Cutting line is dened by cutting line indicator (18) for angle 45° or (19) for
angle 0° (g. I).
When starting operation always hold the saw rmly with both hands by
two handles.
Switch on the circular saw only when it is away from the material that is
to be cut.
Do not press the saw too hard. Pressure should be moderate and
continuous.
After the cut is nished allow the cutting blade to stop completely.
If the cutting is aborted before the task is completed, prior to continuation
start the saw and allow for idle operation. Wait until the tool achieves its full
rotational speed and then carefully drive the cutting blade into the kerf in
the processed material.
When cutting perpendicular to bres of material (wood), bres tend to lift
up and tear o (moving the saw slowly minimizes this eect).
Ensure the lower guard reaches its extreme position.
Before starting to cut always make sure that cutting depth locking knob
and knobs for base bevel adjustment are tightened rmly.
With the circular saw use only cutting blades with correct arbour hole and
outer diameter.
Processed material must be rmly xed.
Place wider part of the saw base on the part of the material, which is not
