ENGINE ASSEMBLY AND ADJUSTMENT ENG CYLINDER AND CYLINDER HEAD 1 Install Cylinder gasket CD Dowel pins 2 2 Offset the piston ring end gaps as shown NOTE ______________________________________ Be sure to check the manufactuer s marks or numbers stamped on the rings are on the top side of the rings Before installing coating of the 4 stroke cylinder engine oil apply to a liberal the piston rings CD Top ring end Oil ring end lower rail Oil ring end upper rail 2nd ring end 3 Install Cylinder CD NOTE _________ Install the cylinder with one hand while com pressing the piston rings with the other hand Tie the cam chain with a piece of mechanics wire 2 and feed it through the chain opening 4 Install Dowel pins CD Cylinder head gasket 2 3 58
