LIGHTING SYSTEM ELEC S A C LIGHTING CIRCUIT OUTPUT TEST 1 Remove Headlight body 2 Disconnect Headlight lens unit leads Blue and Black 3 Connect Pocket Tester YU 03112 Set the tester selector to AC20V posi tion 4 Start the engine 5 Accelerate the engine to specifications and check the output voltage CAUTION _____________________________ Do not run the engine in neutral above 6 000 r min for more than 1 or 2 seconds 6 Measure Lighting voltage Out of specification Perform the next test Led 50 Lighting Voltage 11 V or more at 2 500 r min LIGHTING COIL RESISTANCE TEST 1 Remove Seat Fuel tank 2 Disconnect Two leads Black and Yellow From the CDI magneto 3 Connect Pocket Tester YU 03112 Set the tester selector to Ohm x 1 posi tion 4 Measure Lighting coil resistance Out of specification Replace Ï Yellow 2 Black K Lighting Coil Resistance 0 43 0 53 il at 20 C 68 F Yellow Black 6 14
