ENGINE DISASSEMBLY CRANKCASE 1 Remove Crankcase holding screws NOTE ______________________________________ Loosen each screw 1 4 turn and remove them after all are loosened 2 Remove Right crankcase using two screw drivers NOTE ______________________________________ As pressure is applied alternately tap on the balancer shaft transmission shafts and shift cam 3 Remove Dowel pins Shift shafts Shift cam 3 Shift forks 4 4 Remove Drive axle and main axle assembly NOTE ______________________________________ When removing the drive axle from the crankcase pay attention to the crankcase oil seal lip A recom mended practice is to fit the O ring in the drive axle groove and apply grease over the fitted area before removing drive axle 3 16
