D‐LinkDWS‐4000SeriesswitchprovidesTerminalAccessControllerAccessControlSystem(TACACS+)client

support.TACACS+providescentralizedsecurityforvalidationofusersaccessingthedevice.

TACACS+providesacentralizedusermanagementsystem,whi lestillretainingconsistencywithRADIUSand

otherauthenticationprocesses.TACACS+providesthefollowingservices:

• Authentication:Providesauthenticationduringloginandviausername

sanduser‐definedpasswords.

• Authorization:Performedatlogin.Oncetheauthenticationsessioniscompleted,anauthorizationsession

startsusingtheauthenticatedusername.TheTACACS+servercheckstheuserprivileges.

TheTACACS+protocolensuresnetworksecuritythroughencryptedprotocolex changesbetweenthedevice

andTA

CACS+server.

TACACS+Configuration

TheTACACS+ConfigurationpagecontainstheTACACS+settingsforcommunicationbetweentheswitchand

theTACACS+serveryouconfigure.

TodisplaytheTACACS+Configurationpage,clickLAN>Security > TACACS+>Configurationinthenavigation

menu.
