TheDWL‐3600APisasingle‐radioAP.AnysettingsyouconfigureforRadio1

(802.11a/n)arenotappliedtotheDWL‐3600AP.IftheselectedHardwareTypeIDfor

theAPprofileisDWL‐3600AP,theradioselectorsarenotavailable.

Ifyouturnoffaradio,theAPsendsdisassociationframestoallthewirelessclientsit

usingorthogonalfrequencydivisionmultiplexing(OFDM).Itsupportsdatarates

rangingfrom6to54Mbps.

•IEE

E802.11b/goperatesinthe2.4GHzISMband.IEEE802.11bisan

enhancementoftheinitial802.11PHYtoinclude5.5Mbpsand11Mbpsdata

rates.Itusesdirectsequencespreadspectrum(DSSS)orfrequencyhopping

spreadspectrum(FHSS)aswellascomplementarycodekeying(CCK)topr

ovide

thehigherdatarates.Itsupportsdataratesrangingfrom1to11Mbps.IEEE

802.11gisahigherspeedextension(upto54Mbps)tothe802.11bPHY.Ituses
