SourceIPMask SpecifiesthesourceIPaddresswildcardmask.Wildcardmasksdetermines

whichbitsareusedandwhichbitsareignored.Awildcardmaskof

255.255.255.255indicatesthatnobitisimportant.Awildcardof0.0.0.0

indicatesthatallofthebitsareimportant.Wildcardma

skingforACLsoperates

differentlyfromasubnetmask.Awildcardmaskisinessencetheinverseofa

subnetmask.Withasubnetmask,themaskhasones(1's)inthebitpositions

thatareusedforthenetworkaddress,andhaszeros(0's)forthebitpositions

thatarenotus

ed.Incontrast,awildcardmaskhas(0’s)inabitpositionthat

mustbechecked.A‘1’inabitpositionoftheACLmaskindicatesthe

correspondingbitcanbeignored.Thisfieldisrequiredwhenyouconfigurea

formationfortheSourceIP

AddressandSourceIPMask,clickSubmitorCanceltoreturntotheRule
